Report Anonymization
A premium feature that lets reporters hide their identity on public report pages.

Report Anonymization

Anonymization is the highest level premium feature that allows reporters to hide their identity on public report pages. This means that when a report is viewed by others, the reporter's name and website will not be displayed.

This shifts the first line of defense to FraudRecord. Clients will need to contact us to find out who reported them, and we will only provide this information if necessary. We will act as mediators between the reporter and the client.

While the customers will not see who reported them, but they can still see the report details and respond to it.

How can I enable report anonymization?

Report anonymization is available in certain paid plans. To enable it, you need to subscribe to a plan that includes this feature.

  • Upgrade your reporter profile with an appropriate plan to have access to report anonymization.
  • Go to reporter profile settings to set whether you want to anonymize all new reports by default.
  • You can choose to anonymize individual reports while submitting them.
  • You can edit reports at any time to activate or remove anonymization.
  • Our API also allows submitting a report anonymously.

If anonymization by default is enabled, all new reports submitted by your reporter profile will be anonymized by default. You can still choose to show your identity on individual reports if needed.

If anonymization by default is not enabled, you can still choose to anonymize individual reports while submitting them or edit existing reports to anonymize them later.

Note:

Even with report anonymization enabled, the client may be able to infer the identity of the reporter based on the report details and their past experiences with companies.
