WHMCS website has been compromised, user info leaked
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:16:53 PM »
Hello,

As FraudRecord, we would like to warn you about some disturbing news about WHMCS that transpired recently.

If you are using WHMCS, please know that whmcs.com website and all data under it has been compromised, and the data has been leaked. If you have been paying your WHMCS license fees via Credit Card on file, you'll need to cancel those cards, as it has been verified that the card numbers are readable by public. Email logs and hashed user passwords have been made public as well. So if you use your whmcs.com password in any other website, you will need to change those passwords too.

Currently, every single file and database hosted by whmcs.com has been made public, so any data you have trusted them in ticket logs or payments can be assumed accessible.

You can read more details on WebHostingTalk:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1156920

Please take necessary steps to ensure that your credit card details and passwords are changed.
