When trying to check points from WHMCS, getting the following error:
There was a problem querying the client
-----------------------------------------------
Dedicated Servers (http://www.reliablesite.net/dedicated-servers)
-
Does it happen with all clients, or a specific one?
-
So far, every client I've tried (about 10) has reported this error. Just trying to check against the e-mail.
-
What is your whmcs version?
-
Version 5.0.3, haven't yet updated to 5.1.X.
-
Strange. Let me check some test cases and get back to you.
-
No problem, thanks for the quick replies. We were looking to develop a system exactly like this, two thumbs up!
-
I just got the same error too. It was previously working fine.
-
I'm getting the same error now too from WHMCS.
Error
There was a problem while querying the client.
Whilst doing a lookup online I noticed your SSL certificate for the API has expired, for example by going here I get a warning: https://www.fraudrecord.com/api/?showreport=
Thanks!
-
Oh yes, the SSL expired without alerting us. I'm reissuing one and I'll make sure it doesn't expire next time.
-
I am still receiving this error on all of our whmcs installations since a week now. Please check.
-
Can you please tell me your PHP and WHMCS version? I'll try to replicate the issue.

I'm still having problems using the addon within WHMCS, so will include my details too:
PHP Version: 5.3.3-7+squeeze14
WHMCS Version: 5.1.3
Thanks.

Is there a "modules/addons/fraudrecord/fraudrecord.log" file in your installation? If there is, can you email it to contact@fraudrecord.com?
-
Hi,
I've checked and I don't have this file.
Thanks
-
You may be using a previous version of the module then.

Please replace your module files with the version 0.6.1 and try again. At the very least, this version is capable of creating log files. But it is quite possible that the problem will be fixed with the upgrade.
-
That has fixed it thanks!
Sorry, I didn't know that there was an update available.
-
I have emailed that announcement to everyone however some people reported that it ended up in spam folders. If you have a twitter account, follow @FraudRecord and I will make sure to update the twitter account more frequently in the future.
-
I dont have this file too.
-
I got this error, too. Updating the module fixed it but the README of the latest module says V 0.5.2.
-
Hi,
I am facing this error, i have the latest version. When i try to report a client, it gives me the error.
-
Please try to locate fraudrecord.log file in the modules folder, and we can find the problem.
-
If by locate you mean create, i have created fraudrecord.log file in the modules folder.
What next?
-
No, I meant "locate", not create. When there is an error, the module creates a log file itself. Can you try to report a client, and see if there is an error file in this location?
/modules/fraudrecord/fraudrecord.log
-
Nope, there is no log file created.
-
Can you please download the fraudrecord.php file in your FTP folder /modules/fraudrecord/fraudrecord.php and send it to contact@fraudrecord?
Also copy and paste the exact error message you are getting when reporting a client.
-
A log file has been created and here is the content :
Date:26.03.2013 10:49:22
ERR:API
------
-
That means you have configured the wrong API Code, or didn't configure it at all. You need to copy your API code from here:
http://www.fraudrecord.com/reporter-profiles.php
And then input it into the module configuration of WHMCS > Setup > Addon Modules > Fraudrecord > Configure

Been having the same issue here. We updated to the latest files but we get the same error in the topic. However, is the API code suppose to show when you save it? Our field shows blank and the log file just shows:
Date:03.11.2014 22:40:25
ERR:API
------
Date:03.11.2014 22:40:51

Which looks to be an API issue.
-
I see this working fine with no error :)
-
I, too am having this problem.
I sent you an email with further details. Ticket: 139095
